Once you have done steps 1 and 2, to set up your page to type your programme, you
must set the page in landscape orientation
break into two columns
set margin to 0.5 all round
position your cursor on page one. Note: You need to two sheets; Page 4 and 1 go on the same sheet and Page 2 and 3 go on the same sheet. When printing, you have to print Sheet 2 on Sheet 1.
Usually, a decorative border or background image is placed on page 1, only. To insert a decorative border, you have two options. Option 1
Insert a shape on page 1 and drag it to fill the entire section
Fill and Change the gradient of the shape. (Click on shape, select shape fill, select gradient, select more gradient and explore the options available and select your choice.
Increase the weight of the shape outline to a desired weight and/change the design of the outline
Option 2

Type the keywords Decorative Border: png
Search for an appropriate and attractive border
Click image, right click, save picture as, save it in your folder.
Go to the programme or document, put the cursor where you want the image to be placed, click the insert tab, select picture, search for and insert the image.
Sometimes the image will be larger than what you desire, all you need to do is to reduce the size to suit you.
Always wrap the image to tight or behind text so you can manipulate it easily (move it around with affecting the other text or images on the document. To wrap image, right click image, select wrap or wrap text, select the wrap you desire.
Drag the image to fill the entire section, from the gutter to the end of the page, both top, right and bottom.
Download and view the sample programme. You too will get to design your own programme.
Activity: Prepare the programme given to you. It may be used as an SBA piece.

CREATING INVITATIONS WITH A MENU
A menu and an invitation is usually prepared separately on different papers and paper sizes; however, it may also be done together, on one sheet.
Option 1: Both items may be displayed on a letter sized paper in portrait orientation, with the invitation at the half of the page and the menu on the bottom half. The rules for doing so are as follow:
Set margin to 0.5" all round
Type the invitation in 1.5" using attractive font. Emphasis must be placed on the title of organization, the purpose and venue.
See sample Invitation and Menu on Letter-sized paper, portrait orientation below
The invitation and menu may be done in a programme format, where page 2 holds the invitation and page 3 holds the menu. Page 4 must remain blank and Page 1 may have the text "An Invitation for You" OR "You are Invited".
